Help Hope College cross country runner Michelle Kerr become one of 10 NCAA Division III Elite 90 finalists by voting today.
The Elite 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. There were 90 NCAA Division III winners during the 2015-16 school year, one for each championship the NCAA offers.
The 10 semifinalists with the most votes advance to the next round.

Kerr, who recently graduated from Hope after majoring in nursing, advanced past the first round of competition by finishing among the top in votes. There was a tie for 30th place.
Kerr won the NCAA Elite 90 recognition twice during her career: 2015 and 2013.
Fans do not have to register and can only vote once per day per computer. Voting totals reset after each round.

Semifinals: Monday 7/18 at 10am ET until Tuesday 7/19 at 8pm ET
Finals: Wednesday 7/20 at 10am ET until Thursday 7/21 at 8pm ET

Last year's winner was Carrington Motley of MIT, who barely edged second place by 80 votes. Overall, the contest garnered 38,741 votes.
