The Hope College women's golf team made the most of its final tuneup for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.
The Flying Dutch won the five-team D3 Invitational by totaling a team score of 324 at Railside Golf Club in Byron Center, Michigan. They finished nine strokes ahead of runner-up Alma.
Junior Megan Klintworth of Jackson, Michigan (Hanover-Horton HS) topped Hope by carding a 3-over-par 75 that put her in second place.
Junior Megan Wierenga of Byron Center, Michigan (South Christian) came in third with an 80.
Senior Britni Gielow of Norton Shores, Michigan (Mona Shores) tied for fourth with an 82.
Senior Dominique Molinaro of Burtchville, Michigan (Port Huron Northern) tied for eighth with an 84.
Senior Elena Moore of South Lyon, Michigan (East) chipped in an 87 for 13th place.
Junior Nicole Meyer of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton) was 15th with an 89.
Hope returns to action on Monday, Sept. 19 with the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree at The Medalist Golf Club.
