Elizabeth Perkins and the Hope College women's soccer team struck early and often en route to a 7-2 win at Olivet on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch put together their highest-scoring game in four years to remain tied atop the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings with Kalamazoo. Both teams have 4-0-1 league records.
Six first-half goals fueled Hope (5-1-1 overall) to extend its win streak to four matches.
Perkins, pictured, scored three of them and assisted on one more to help the Flying Dutch grab a 6-1 halftime lead. The senior from Eaton Rapids, Michigan (Lansing Christian HS) now has a team-leading nine goals on the season and 23 for her career.
Perkins now is tied for eighth all-time at Hope in career goals with Kim Nolan (1993-95) and Amy Dobb (98-2001).
Three other Flying Dutch players scored in the first half: senior Kendall Dice of Allendale, Michigan (Hudsonville Unity Christian), junior Erin Brophy of West Lafayette, Indiana (West Lafayette) off an assist from Perkins and junior Allie Wittenbach of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Central).
Junior Natalie Curry of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville Calvin Christian) capped Hope's scoring in the second half against Olivet (4-2-1, 2-1-1 MIAA).
It was the most goals in a game for the Flying Dutch since an 8-1 win at Albion on Sept. 29, 2012.
Hope returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 20 against Alma. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
