The Hope College women's soccer team placed runner-up in the 2026 MIAA Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll, totaling 59 points after claiming three first-place votes.

The Flying Dutch finished three points behind preseason favorite Calvin University, which received six first-place votes. Trine University, which took third with 48 points, was followed by Kalamazoo College (41), Adrian College (35), Albion College (33), Saint Mary's College (22), Alma College (16), and The University of Olivet (8).

Led by head coach Holly VanNoord, Hope will return senior goalkeeper Clara Feenstra of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville), a two-time All-MIAA honoree after earning first-team recognition and All-Region Third Team honors last season. The Flying Dutch finished with a 12-4-3 overall record last season, including a 7-1 mark in MIAA play.

Junior defender Mia Hesley of Portage, Michigan (Portage Central) is also a two-time All-MIAA selection after earning second-team honors in 2025, along with Third Team All-Region recognition.

Hope opens the season on Wednesday, Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. at home against Cornerstone University at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
