The Hope College women's golf team heads into the 2016-17 season looking to build off the best postseason performance in team history.
Head coach Greg Stafford's Flying Dutch finished 10th at the NCAA Division III Championships last spring. They surpassed their previous-best 11th-place finish at the 2015 national tournament.
Most of Hope's lineup returns, with only one player lost to graduation. Here is a look at the Flying Dutch as they begin pursuit of a third consecutive Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship.

Captains: Britni Gielow, Megan Klintworth, Nicole Meyer, Megan Wierenga
Top returners: Britni Gielow became the third Flying Dutch golfer to earn All-America honors with a seventh-place finish at nationals last season. Nicole Meyer tied for 31st at nationals. Megan Klintworth tied for 41st.

2016 opener: Friday and Saturday, Sept. 2-3 at Carthage Fall Invitational in Bristol, Wisconsin
Of note: Britni Gielow and Nicole Meyer both were named Women's Golf Coaches Association Scholar All-Americans during the 2015-16 season.
