Megan Klintworth and the Hope College women's golf team bolstered their position atop the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association title chase on Tuesday on their home course.
The junior from Jackson, Michigan (Hanover-Horton HS) carded a 3-over-par 75 to lead the Flying Dutch to victory at the MIAA Jamboree at The Ravines Golf Club in Saugatuck.
Klintworth set a MIAA course record with her round.
Hope totaled 322 strokes and finished one stroke ahead of runner-up Olivet, but extended its lead in the overall standings to 24 strokes over second-place Saint Mary's. Third-place Olivet is 35 strokes back with 54 holes remaining.
Klintworth, pictured, is tied for first place in the individual standings after posting Tuesday's best round. She shares the top spot with Saint Mary's Taylor Kehoe.

Senior Britni Gielow of Norton Shores, Michigan (Mona Shores) chipped in a fifth-place 80.
Senior Dominique Molinaro of Burtchville, Michigan (Port Huron Northern) tied for 11th with an 83.
Junior Nicole Meyer of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton) rounded out Hope's scoring with a 13th-place 84.
Other rounds for the Flying Dutch came from senior Megan Wierenga of Byrn Center, Michigan (South Christian) with an 87, senior Elena Moore of South Lyon, Michigan (East) with an 88, and senior Kelsey Duntley of Livonia, Michigan (Stevenson) with a 99.
Hope's next competition is Saturday, Oct. 1 with the MIAA Jamboree at Pine River Country Club in Alma.
