The Hope College ice hockey team skated to a win and a tie during a two-game series against Adrian College Black this week.
The Flying Dutchmen blanked the Bulldogs 4-0 on Thursday in Adrian and skated to a 4-4 deadlock on Friday at Edge Ice Arena.
Hope (15-6-1 overall in American College Hockey Association action) is in second place in the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference West Division with a 7-2-1 division record.
On Thursday, freshman goalie Austin Kane of Flint, Michigan (Powers Catholic HS) recorded the shutout with 32 saves. He also recorded an assist and was supported by four different goalscorers.
On Friday, freshman Jonah Oman of Dorr, Michigan (Hopkins) evened the score at 4-4 by scoring with 1 minute, 31 seconds remaining in regulation.
Hope returns to action on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 20-21 with a two-game series against Grand Valley State University.
