Support Ronald McDonald House At January 7 Men's, Women's Basketball Games

Join the Hope College men's and women's basketball teams during the January 7 day-night doubleheader to support the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan's mission to "keep families with sick children close to each other and the care and resources they need."

Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan T-shirts will be sold for $10 during the women's varsity, men's varsity and men's junior varsity games at DeVos Fieldhouse.

All proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan.

Shirts will be $8 if purchasers "like" the Ronald McDonald House" on Facebook or follow them on Instagram.

The Ronald McDonald House plays a large role in the lives of thousands of families worldwide every year, as experienced by assistant men's varsity basketball coach Jeff Carlson and his family in the fall of 2015.

"In our families time of unexpected medical need, our family had the opportunity to be treated by some of the best physicians in the world at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia," Carlson said. "In order for us to receive the care we needed, our family needed to relocate to Philadelphia for three months and part of that process is finding a place to live. The last thing on a families mind at a time like that is to be burdened with housing and meals, and the Ronald McDonald House organization provided that for us at one of their sites in Philadelphia.  We will never be able to repay the organization for the service they provided us and the families they provide for."
