Hope College's Emily Hamilton has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets September 25-October 1.

The junior from Naperville, Illinois (North HS) led the Flying Dutch with a seventh-place effort in the Blue Division at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky.

Hamilton clocked a time of 18 minutes, 22.76 seconds for her spot in the Top 10 among the non-NCAA Division I and II teams in the field.

Hamilton helped the Flying Dutch place third in their division.

This is the first time Hamilton has been picked MIAA Runner of the Week.
