Max Mones scored two third-period goals to lift the Hope College American Collegiate Hockey Association team to a 4-3 victory at Central Michigan University on Saturday.

The Flying Dutchmen split their two-game weekend series after rebounding from a 6-1 loss in Friday's game on home ice at Griff's Icehouse West.

Hope is now 4-2 on the season.

Mones, a freshman from Portage, Michigan (Portage Central HS), pictured, scored the tying goal 1 minute, 1 second into the third period, then the game-winner seven minutes later.

Senior Evan Fall of Royal Oak, Michigan (Royal Oak) added a goal and two assists on Saturday.

Senior Garrett Gormley of Fenton, Michigan (Flint Powers Catholic) had Hope's goal on Friday.
