The Hope College men's basketball team is bidding for its fourth trip to the national semifinals during this weekend's sectional at DeVos Fieldhouse.
The Flying Dutchmen (23-6 overall) face Hanover, Indiana (25-3) at 7:30 p.m. in the sectional semifinals. They follow the 5:30 p.m. sectional semifinal between Wartburg, Iowa (21-9) and Augustana, Illinois (21-8).
Friday's winners advance to Saturday's 7 p.m. sectional final.

Hope is 2-0 all-time against Hanover and 1-0 in NCAA Tournament play. The Flying Dutchmen won 85-81 in overtime at DeVos Fieldhouse last season on December 21, 2015 during the Russ DeVette/Holland Sentinel Classic. Sam Otto's 20 points topped Hope, which outscored Hanover 10-6 during overtime. In 2011, Hope edged Hanover 73-70 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament behind a team-high 20 points from Will Bowser.
The Flying Dutchmen are 0-3 vs. Augustana all-time, including an 0-2 mark in NCAA
Tournament action. Hope lost 96-80 at Augustana in the second round last season and 88-80 in overtime in the second round in 2011. Augustana also won 82-64 in the championship game of Hope's 2004 Russ DeVette Classic.
The Flying Dutchmen have never played Wartburg.
