Freshman Rocco Mularoni of Hartland, Michigan (Detroit Catholic Central HS) scored two goals to lead the Hope College men's lacrosse team in a 21-4 loss at Whittier, California on Wednesday.

The nonleague loss snapped a four-game win streak for the Flying Dutchmen, who are now 4-2 on the season.

Whittier (5-3) scored the final three goals of the first period to grab a commanding 6-2 lead and pulled ahead 13-4 by halftime.

Hope returns to action on Thursday, March 30 with the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association season opener against visiting Calvin.
