Senior Britni Gielow of Norton Shores, Michigan (Mona Shores) carded a team-low 78 for the Hope College women's golf team during the final round of the Carthage Invitational on Wednesday in Championsgate, Florida.
The Flying Dutch finished runner-up in the three-team event (327-331—658).
Carthage (313-319—632) won, while Calvin (366-374—740) took third.
Senior Dominique Molinaro of Burtchville, Michigan (Port Huron Northern) placed third overall to lead Hope. She came in six strokes behind the individual leader at 13-over par (78-79—157).
Gielow, pictured, was four strokes in fourth place (83-78—161).
Junior Megan Klintworth of Jackson, Michigan (Hanover-Horton) finished in eighth place (80-87—167).
Two Hope golfers tied for ninth with 36-holes total of 175: junior Nicole Meyer of Brighton, Michigan at Brighton) at 88-87, and senior Megan Wierenga of Byron Center, Michigan (South Christian) at 86-89.
Senior Elena Moore of South Lyon, Michigan (East) was 16th at 98-92—190.
Hope's next event is the 36-hole Trine Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 31-April 1.
