Hope College's Amanda Bandrowski has been chosen Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played through March 5.

The freshman from Traverse City, Michigan (St. Francis) receives the award for the first time in her career.

Bandrowski helped the 29th-ranked Flying Dutch beat No. 25-ranked Denison, Ohio by a 7-2 margin on Saturday at DeWitt Tennis Center.

Bandrowski won 6-3, 7-5 at No. 2 singles and teamed with sophomore Taylor LaBarge of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) for an 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles.

Bandrowski owns an 8-1 record in singles play this season.
