Senior Gunnar Elder of East Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS) scored twice to lead the Hope College men's lacrosse team during a 12-6 loss at DePauw, Indiana on Saturday.

The match was the final nonleague one of the season for the Flying Dutchmen. Hope will take a 5-3 overall record into the Wednesday, April 5 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association-opening match against Alma at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

Hope could not overcome a 7-1 halftime deficit.

Senior Zach Weber of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Pioneer) and freshman Max Kuiper of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central) chipped in one goal and one assist apiece for the Flying
