Sophomore Madeleine Shupe of Hinsdale, Illinois (Hinsdale Central HS) scored two goals for the Hope College women's lacrosse team in a 16-4 loss at Calvin on Saturday.

The Flying Dutch fell to 6-5 overall and 4-1 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.

Hope dropped into a third-place tie with Adrian in the MIAA standings. The Flying Dutch trail Calvin (6-0) and Saint Mary's.

Senior Dana Kym of Libertyville, Illinois (Libertyville) and Alexandra Webb of Woodland Hills, California (Calabasas) also scored for Hope.

The Flying Dutch return to action on Tuesday, April 25 when they host Albion for a 6 p.m. match at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
