Erin Herrmann raced past her own school record in the steeplechase at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays on Friday, while teammate Alison Rich took first place in the heptathlon.
The nonscoring meet featured competitors from NCAA Division I, II and III as well as NAIA.
Herrmann clocked a time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase of 10 minutes, 27.23 seconds.
The senior from Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton-Warrenville South HS) now owns the fastest time in NCAA Division III this season.
Herrmann passed her previous best of 10:40.44 from last season.
Rich won the heptathlon with a score of 4,280 and topped a field of nine competitors.
The junior from Haslett, Michigan (Haslett) recorded the top performances at the meet in the javelin with a toss of 35.30 meters (115 feet, 10 inches) and the 800 meters with a time of 2:30.27.
Rich came in fourth in the high jump by clearing 1.53 meters (5-0 ¼) and the shot put with a toss of 9.25 meters (31-3).
Rich took fifth in the long jump with a leap of 4.91 meters (16-1 ½).
Rich was sixth in the 100 hurdles at 15.85 seconds and
Rich was ninth in the 200 meters at 28.49 seconds.
