Five Men's Basketball Players Make NABC Honors Court

Five members of the Hope College men's basketball team have earned spots on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court for the 2016-17 season.

Seniors Harrison Blackledge of Canton, Ohio (Hoover HS), Chad Carlson of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford), Zach Littleson of Rochester Hills, Michigan (Adams), and Cody Stuive of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) joined junior Luke Dreyer of Zeeland, Michigan (West) in receiving the national recognition.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be:

1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.

2. Cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year.

3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.

4. Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with an NABC member coach.

The five Hope players helped the Flying Dutchmen claim the 2016-17 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award as well.
