Three From Women's Track & Field Claim USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Three members of the Hope College women's indoor and outdoor track & field teams have earned United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors for the 2016-17 school year.

Senior Erin Herrmann of Wheaton, Illinois (Warrenville South HS), junior Alison Rich of Haslett, Michigan (Haslett) and sophomore Emily Hamilton of Naperville, Illinois (North) are among 603 female Division III student-athletes to achieve the recognition.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have compiled a 3.30 GPA and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:

  • Competed in a NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship.

  • Finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

Head coach Kevin Cole said, "I'm proud of Emily, Erin, and Alison, for their individual Academic All-American honors and feel they represent the best of Division III athletics."
