The Hope College women's cross country team ran away from the field for its eighth consecutive Vanderbilt Invitational championship on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch recorded a winning score of 21 points after clocking seven of the fastest 10 times.
Junior Emily Hamilton of Naperville, Illinois (North HS) led Hope with a time of 18 minutes, 33.3 seconds at Ridge Point Community Church.
Senior Alexis Guttilla of St. Charles, Illinois (Westminster Christian), came in third at 18:52.9.
Junior Avery Lowe of North Muskegon, Michigan (North Muskegon), took fourth in 18:55.0.
Sophomore Chelsea Miskelley of Holland, Michigan (Black River), finished fifth in 18:56.0.
Sophomore Sydney del Valle of Holland, Michigan (Black River), rounded out Hope's scoring in eighth place at 19:50.0.
Others among the Flying Dutch's top seven finishers were junior Rebecca Duran of Palatine, Illinois (Palatine) in ninth at 19:50.4 and freshman Brooke Truszkowski of Traverse City, Michigan (Central) in 10th at 20:00.1
Hope placed ahead of Cornerstone (60), Davenport (87), Calvin (100), Muskegon Community College (125) and Grace Bible (153).
