Third baseman Danny Carrasco went 3-for-5 with two RBI to lead the Hope College baseball team in a 7-6 loss to Westfield State on Friday in Auburndale, Florida.

The senior from Grandville, Michigan (Calvin Christian) delivered a two-run double in the ninth inning to bring the Flying Dutchmen within a run.

Jared Blom, who ran for Carrasco, was stranded as the tying run at third when Westfield State retired Hope's final two batters.

Leftfielder Nick LePore of Clinton Township, Michigan (Warren DaLaSalle) had a RBI double against Westfield State (6-5-1).
