Shortstop Jordon Fairchild of Muskegon, Michigan (Oakridge HS) and centerfielder Evan Maday each collected two hits for the Hope College baseball team in an 11-1 loss to Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday in Auburndale, Florida.

It was the final game of the spring trip for the Flying Dutchmen.

Hope (2-8 overall) returns to action on Saturday, March 24 with the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener against Calvin at Boeve Stadium.

First pitch for the doubleheader is 1 p.m.
