Hope College Celebrates 2018 NCAA Division III Week

This week, the Hope College athletics program is celebrating NCAA Division III Week. 

Division III Week is a positive opportunity for all individuals associated with Division III to observe and celebrate the impact of athletics and of student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community.

Hope College is proud to join 450 Division III schools in celebrating the academic and athletic accomplishments of student-athletes, as well as their leadership, community service, and campus involvement.

2:00 p.m. Baseball hosts Olivet at Boeve Stadium, doubleheader
 
Tuesday, April 3
Takeover Tuesday Student-athletes will take over team social media accounts for the day to show a "Day in the Life" of a Division III student-athlete.
Football's Luke Stehney shares his experiences in the Washington, D.C., Honors Semester
4:00 p.m. Women's Tennis hosts Kalamazoo at DeWitt Tennis Center
 
Wednesday, April 4
Why Wednesday 
Student-athletes and coaches will be encouraged to share on social media accounts with #whyd3 and #whyd3Hope why they play Division III athletics and how they have been transformed through their experiences as a Hope College athlete 
Cross country and track & field's Avery Lowe writes about her appreciation for Dr. Fred Johnson's class "The History of Slavery and Race in America"
7:00 p.m. Men's Lacrosse hosts Alma at Van Andel Soccer Stadium
 
Thursday, April 5
Thank You Thursday Athletic teams will distribute thank you notes those in the Hope College campus community who make a difference in the student-athlete experience
 
Friday, April 6
Fire Up Friday 
Student-athletes and coaches will be encouraged to show their Hope College school spirit and wear orange
4:00 p.m.  Men's Tennis hosts Adrian at DeWitt Tennis Center
 
Saturday, April 7:
Super Fan Saturday Free hot chocolate for fans at women's lacrosse and men's lacrosse. Note: Youth Day and team poster giveaways have been postponed due to the weather forecast.  Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 14 with softball and Saturday, April 21 with baseball, women's lacrosse, and men's lacrosse.
