Hope College's Alison Rich placed third in the javelin at the Grand Valley State University Al Owens Invitational on Saturday.

The senior from Haslett, Michigan (Haslett HS) hurled a toss of 33.65 meters (110 feet, 5 inches). She is pictured at right.

Senior Rachael Webb of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville) took fifth in the 800 meters with a run of 2 minutes, 17.48 seconds.

It is the fastest 800-meter run of the season for the Flying Dutch.

Senior Alexis Guttilla of St. Charles, Illinois (Westminster Christian) finished seventh in the 1,500 meters. She had a run of 4:39.65.
