The Hope College women's golf team rallied to finish runner-up at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association NCAA Division III Championship qualifier on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch shot a final-round 364 at Knollwood Country Club in Granger, Indiana, to overtake Olivet for second place in the 54-hole, three-round event.
Hope ended with a cumulative score of 1,051 — second to regular-season and tournament champion Saint Mary's 972.
On Saturday, senior Megan Klintworth of Jackson, Michigan (Hanover-Horton HS), pictured, carded a sixth-place 89 to lead the Flying Dutch.
Freshman Jordyn Rioux of Farmington, Michigan (Livonia Ladywood) chipped in a seventh-place 90.
Freshman Abby Meder of Lansing, Michigan (Catholic Central) shot a 92.
Junior Ariana Stewart of Kalamazoo, Michigan (Comstock) had a 93.
Hope finished 11 strokes ahead of third-place Alma during the final round and nine strokes ahead of third-place Olivet in the overall standings.
