Hope College's Carly Pieri has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.

The sophomore midfielder from Alto, Michigan (Caledonia HS) is honored after sparking the Flying Dutch to a 21-12, season-opening win against Cleary University on Friday in Brighton, Michigan.

Pieri shared team-high honors with four goals during the non-league match.

Pieri scored twice during a key second-half run. She also recorded six ground balls, five draw controls and one caused turnover.

This is Pier's first MIAA Player of the Week award.
