Presented to the Hope College team that played the most impressive game or had the most significant win in a given year.
* Football vs. Adrian – The Hope College football team made its mark with a season-ending, 33-14 victory at Adrian. The Flying Dutchmen were up 16-14 at halftime and found a way to shutout the Bulldogs in the second half. This win capped off an 8-2 season for Hope, making it only the third team in history to post back-to-back, eight-win seasons.
* Volleyball vs. Thomas More – The #16 Flying Dutch were victorious over #7 Thomas More in four sets at the Midwest Invitational. Hope dropped the first set but then rallied to take the last three with scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-23, and 25-17. Three members of the team recorded double-digit kills and as a team, Hope collected 17 more kills than their opponent. On defense, three Flying Dutch members had double-digit digs and the team executed 20 more digs than Thomas More.
* Baseball vs. Adrian – The Flying Dutchmen swept a home double-header against Adrian to secure a berth in the MIAA Tournament. In the first game, Hope secured the victory with a two-out, two-run walk-off homer, as Hope won 11-9. Hope overcame an 8-0 deficit in game two to take the game 17-12.
* Men's Lacrosse vs. Albion – Playing on the road, the Flying Dutchmen beat Albion 14-11, which was their first victory over the Britons in four years. This win clinched a share of the MIAA regular-season title for the first time in program history. Hope led 9-6 at halftime and scored and scored five additional goals in the third and fourth quarters to secure the win.
* Softball at NCAA Regional – In a must-win situation on the final day of the 2018 NCAA Softball Regional, the Flying Dutch delivered two victories over Calvin to advance to the NCAA Super Regional. The first game of the day saw RBIs from five different Flying Dutch as Hope took the game, 9-6. To secure the NCAA Regional Title, Hope shut out Calvin 2-0 behind a solid pitching performance in the second game of the day. The victories advanced Hope to their first Super Regional in the current NCAA format.
* Women's Soccer vs. Otterbein – Playing in the second round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Tournament, #18 Hope beat #24 Otterbein, 2-1. Hope scored two goals in the first-half and held off Otterbein in the second half. This win advanced the Flying Dutch to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.
* Men's Golf at NCAA – In the Spring of 2018, the Flying Dutchmen finished sixth at the NCAA Division III National Tournament. This tied their program-best finish in 2017. Hope shot its lowest found on the final day to vault them into a top-ten team finish. Out of 18 teams in the championship field, Hope was the only team to shoot under par on the final day.
