Presented to the Hope College team deemed to be the most outstanding in a given year, finishing in the top 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament within their respective sport.
* Softball – In 2018, the Flying Dutch won the MIAA Tournament Championship for the first time since 2006 and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Hope advanced to the NCAA Super Regional Final for the first time in program history in the current tournament format. The Flying Dutch finished the season with a 34-12 record – the most wins in school history. Three members of the team earned All-MIAA First Team honors and Hayley Reitsma was named the MIAA Position Player of the Year.
* Women's Soccer – For the third consecutive year, the Flying Dutch claimed the MIAA regular season championship with a league record of 7-0-1 and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Hope advanced to the NCAA round of 16 for the first time in team history and finished the season with a 16-3-2 record. The 16 wins ties for the fourth most in school history. Rylie Dalton was named the MIAA Most Valuable Player and three members of the Flying Dutch were named to the All-MIAA First Team.
* Men's Golf – Hope equaled its highest finish at the NCAA Division III Championships with a sixth-place effort in May 2018. At the championships, the Flying Dutchmen recorded a 72-hole, four-day total of 1,177 strokes. The men's golf team qualified for nationals by winning the 54-hole MIAA Tournament where they finished 13 strokes ahead of runner-up Calvin. Two athletes received All-MIAA honors and Josh Gibson repeated as the MIAA Most Valuable Golfer. Additionally, Gibson received the Jack Nicklaus Award, naming him the NCAA Division III Men's Golfer of the Year.
