Women's Golf Finishes Third Overall in MIAA NCAA Qualifier

Megan Radaz poses for a portrait After unseasonably cold weather brought snow to Knollwood Country Club in Granger, Indiana, and cancelled the third and final round of the MIAA NCAA Division III Championship qualifier on Saturday, the Hope College women's golf team finished third place overall after shooting a 359 on Friday.

Due to the cancellation of the last round, the cumulative leader after 36 holes receives the MIAA's automatic bid to the Division III national championship.

Winner Saint Mary's fired a 317 while Calvin College carded a second-place 345 on Friday. Albion College finished fourth with 372.

Team scores after 36 holes are: Saint Mary's 328-317—645; Calvin 361-345—706; Hope 357-359—716; and, Albion 364-372—736.

Hope was led by freshman Megan Radaz of Alma, Michigan (Alma), pictured, with an 84, good for a tie for fifth place overall.

Sophomore Jordyn Rioux from Farmington, Michigan (Livonia Ladywood HS) shot an 88.

Sophomore Abigail Meder of Lansing, Michigan (Lansing Catholic Central) carded a 92, and freshman Megan Jenkinson of Traverse City, Michigan (T.C. Central) finished with a 95.
