Carly Pieri, Women's Lacrosse — During the 2019 season, Pieri set a Hope women's lacrosse team record with 51 goals. She helped the Flying Dutch claim a school-record 11 wins. Pieri also finished with a team-record 72 points and tied the record for assists in a single season with 21. Pieri was an All-MIAA Second Team selection.
Jordyn Rioux, Women's Golf — During the fall season, Rioux had the lowest stroke average for the Flying Dutch with 83.5 strokes. She received All-MIAA Second Team honors and was a member of the All-MIAA Team for the third consecutive season.
Mitchel Achien'g, Women's Track & Field — Achien'g was named the 2020 MIAA Indoor Field Athlete of the Year after winning three individual events and setting a school and MIAA record in two of those events. She scored 40 of the 198.83 points for the Flying Dutch that earned the team the MIAA Championship. At the 2019 MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Achien'g helped the Flying Dutch to a second consecutive team title. She won the 100-meter hurdles, finished second in the long jump, third in the 4x100-meter relay, and placed fifth in the triple jump. Achien'g received All-MIAA and All-Great Lakes Region honors for both the 2020 indoor season and the 2019 outdoor season.
Claire Hallock, Women's Tennis — Hallock played #1 singles and doubles for the Flying Dutch in 2019. She finished 25-3 in singles and 22-8 at doubles. She was selected to compete at the NCAA Division III Tennis Championships as an individual in singles. Hallock finished the season ranked sixth in the region and 20th in the country in singles and 12th in the region in doubles. She earned All-MIAA First Team honors and was named the MIAA MVP. Hallock was recognized as the 2019 Central Region Women's Tennis Player to Watch by the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) and was named an ITA All-American.
McKenna Otto, Volleyball — Otto had career highs in the 2019 season with 396 kills, 103 blocks, and 30 service aces. In the MIAA, she ranked second in hitting percentage at .314 and fifth in kills per set at 3.14. Otto was selected as the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Player of the Week this season after her 17 kills, .552 hitting percentage and four blocks propelled the Flying Dutch to victory over #2 Calvin. She was named to the All-MIAA First Team for the second consecutive season and was recognized as an AVCA Second Team All-American.
Emma Schaefer, Women's Swimming & Diving — Schaefer was named the MIAA Swimming & Diving MVP after winning three individual events (100 and 200-yard breaststroke, 200 individual medley) and two relays (400 medley and 800 freestyle) at the 2020 MIAA Championship. She set two school records this season: the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.44 and the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:05.29. Schaefer received All-MIAA honors and was selected to compete at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. She finished with the nation's 20th fastest time in the 200 individual medley.
Ana Tucker, Women's Cross Country and Women's Track & Field — As a freshman, Tucker helped the Flying Dutch to the fifth consecutive MIAA Championship and earned All-MIAA First Team honors. She also received Great Lakes All-Region honors and was named a NCAA Division III All-American. Tucker ran a personal best time at the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship and was the second fastest freshman in the race. Tucker also raced with the track & field team where she qualified for the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in the 3,000-meter run and earned All-Great Lakes Region honors.
Kenedy Schoonveld, Women's Basketball — Schoonveld played a key role for the Flying Dutch team that finished with a 29-0 record. She averaged 10.3 points per game, putting her in double figures for the third consecutive season. Schoonveld averaged 1.7 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. Additionally, she had a career-low 0.6 turnovers per game. Schoonveld earned All-MIAA First Team honors and was named the MIAA MVP. She was the D3hoops.com All-American and Co-Great Lakes Regional Player of the Year and was recognized as an WBCA All-American.
