Football's Brady Howe Chosen as the MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week

Hope College free safety Brady Howe has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Football Defensive Athlete of the Week.

The junior from Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS) is receiving the honor for the first time.

Howe recorded a team-high 11 tackles and forced one fumble for the Flying Dutchmen during a 31-16 victory at Olivet College on Saturday in a matchup of 4-1 teams.

A special education major, Howe made five solo tackles and six assisted tackles against the Comets.

He helped Hope hold Olivet to three points and 59 rushing yards during the second half.
