Brady Howe and Brady Eding line up on the field. by Alan Babbitt

Two members of the MIAA co-champion Hope College football team have claimed all-region honors from D3football.com: right tackle Brady Eding and safety Brady Howe.

In Region 4 that includes schools from Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, Howe is a second-team selection on defense, while Eding made the third team on offense.

Howe (Holland, Michigan Holland Christian HS) led the Flying Dutchmen and finished seventh in the MIAA with 71 tackles in 10 games.

An All-MIAA First Team honoree, Howe broke up four passes this season, two of which were against MIAA foes. The junior special education major intercepted one pass, which came in league play.

Howe helped Hope allow a league-low 14.5 points per game and place third in total defense at 297.1 yards per game during the regular season.

Eding (Hamilton, Michigan / Hamilton) anchored the right side on the Flying Dutchmen's offensive line. Hope was the MIAA's No. 1 unit in league games for total offense at 446.8 yards per game and No. 1 scoring offense in league games at 33.2 points per game.

A business and classical studies double major, Eding earned All-MIAA First Team honors this fall. The senior also was an All-MIAA Second Team selection in 2019.
