The Hope College women's lacrosse team remains undefeated with a 9-6 win at Adrian College on Wednesday night.
The Flying Dutch led the first half with five goals, as midfielder Kristen Szost scored the first two. The freshman from Jenison (Jenison International Academy) also had an assist in the second half when Hope went up 6-5 on a goal by senior midfielder Paige Wilmer of Columbus, Ohio (Upper Arlington HS).
Senior Paige Rosenbrook of East Lansing (Haslett), pictured right, also tied for the lead in scoring in the game with two goals in the first half, along with Wilmer's two goals in the second half.
Hope entered the second half with a 5-2 lead. The Bulldogs came in strong, tying the game 6 minutes and 58 seconds into the second half, but Hope responded with a goal by Wilmer shortly after, never trailing for the remainder of the game.
Attacker Madison McCreery chipped in the last goal of the game with 3 minutes, 55 seconds to go. The sophomore from Rockford (Rockford HS) also assisted Szots' second goal in the first half.
Hope received one goal and an assist apiece from senior midfielders Carly Pieri of Alto (Caledonia HS) and senior Madison Micho of Grand Rapids (East Grand Rapids HS).
Senior goalie Laurel Frederickson of Alto (Lowell HS) made five saves, while freshman Maddie Yakes of Rockford (Rockford HS) made two saves after coming in to play the second half.
Hope's next match is Saturday, March 6 at Albion at 1 p.m.
