The Hope College baseball team will be the No. 2 seed for this week's opening round of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament.
The Flying Dutchmen (22-13 overall) are scheduled to host a four-team pod on Wednesday-Friday, May 12-14 at Boeve Stadium. All games are scheduled for nine innings.

On Wednesday, Hope will play No. 7 seed Trine University, while No. 6 seeded Albion College will play at No. 3 seed Calvin University. Both games will start at 4 p.m.
On Thursday and Friday, Hope will host the remainder of the games between the four teams in a double-elimination format.
The pod winner will advance to next week's best-of-three championship series against the winner of the pod featuring No. 1 seed Adrian College, No. 4 seed Kalamazoo College, No. 5 seed Alma College and No. 8 seed Olivet College.
The MIAA Tournament champion will receive the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
