The Hope College baseball team has earned the American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2021 season.

The American Baseball Coaches Association's Team Academic Excellence Award honors college and high school teams coached by ABCA members that post a cumulative Grade Point Average over 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year.

Led by head coach Stu Fritz, the Flying Dutchmen finished the 2021 season with a 25-15 overall record.

"I'm very proud of the effort of this group of young men," Fritz said. "They found a way to be excellent in the classroom, off the field and between the white lines.
