Two members of Hope College women's golf team earned the honor of being an All-MIAAÂ athlete.
Senior Grace VanDellen and junior Emlin Munch landed spots on the 2022Â All-MIAA Second Team.Â
VanDellen (Oxford, Michigan / Lutheran Northwest HS), a biomedical/biomechanical engineering major, is earning this honor for the third time in her career.Â
"Grace is a great competitor, she has played all fall with an injured hip that will require surgery. Outstanding job by her even finishing the fall season let alone making all league," said head coach Greg Stafford.Â
VanDellen finished the fall season with an 82.33 scoring average over 108 holes, and recorded scores in the 70's four different times while leading the Flying Dutch six different times.Â
Munch (Traverse City, Michigan / Central) fired scores in the 70's four different times as well to earn All-MIAA honors for the second time in her career, and led Hope three times in the fall season. The Global French Studies and Music Performance - Voice major had a scoring average of 81.50 over 108 holes.
"Emlin is a very talented player, she just got more comfortable as the fall went along and her scores kept dropping," said Stafford. "She has a very tough schedule with her music major and really makes the most of the time she has for golf.Â
