The Hope College women's cross country "B" team put six runners in the Top 40 en route to a third place finish at the Muskegon Community College Invitational on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch totaled 83 points for their third place finish out of 9 teams and 99 runners.
Sophomore Laura Taylor of Yorkville, Illinois (Yorkville HS) led Hope with a 5k run of 19 minutes 27.80 seconds for 12th place.
Freshman Molly Durow of Glenview, Illinois (Glenbrook South) finished in 19:31.90 for 15th place.
Sophomore Janie Degroot (Northville, Michigan / Northville) went 19:53.90 for 22nd place, while freshman Elllie Coderre (Naperville, Illinois / North) and freshman Caleigh Hurley (Brighton, Michigan / Brighton) grabbed 23rd and 24th, respectively, with times of 19:55.40 and 19:57.
Junior Katie Cole (Batavia, Illinois / Batavia) finished 32nd with a time of 20:19.50 and freshman Claire Vellinga (Holland, Michigan / West Ottowa) ran 20:48.50 for 45th place.
Hope gears up to run at the MIAA Championships hosted by Alma College on Saturday, October 29th at 11 a.m.
