Hope College's Sydney Jackson has been chosen as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.

The senior from Fort Wayne, IN (Carroll HS) is claiming the honor for the third time in her career, and for the first time this season. 

Jackson, competing at No. 1 singles, defeated her DII Davenport University opponent in just two sets for victory; 6-3 and 6-4. 

Jackson, a biomed/bioelectrical engineering major, also competed in doubles at the No. 1 flight. Another victory for Jackson as her and doubles mate, Sullivan Patel, defeated Davenport 8-7 (7-1).
