Hope College's Sean Hoey is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

The senior right-hander from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) fired 7 ⅔ scoreless innings and earned the decision during a 5-0 victory against Transyvania University (Ky.) on Saturday.

Hoey made his first start of the season and recorded 12 strikeouts. The secondary education major yielded only two hits and did not walk a batter.

It was Hoey's 40th career appearance and 18th career start.
