The Hope College women's lacrosse team fell to fellow Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association league member Albion College, 16-6, on Tuesday.

The second MIAA loss puts the Flying Dutch at 2-2 in conference play, and 7-6 overall. 

Senior Sophie Ackerman (East Grand Rapids, Michigan / East Grand Rapids HS), pictured, scored two goals to lead Hope. 

The orange and blue also had one goal a piece from sophomore Elena Salazar (Howell, Michigan / Hartland), freshman Ruthie Anderson (Lowell, Michigan / Lowell), and seniors Madison Micho (Grand Rapids, Michigan / East Grand Rapids) and Madison McCreery (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford). 

Albion never trailed after outscoring Hope 4-1 in the first period. 

Hope's next game is Saturday, April 23 against Calvin University beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
