The Hope College men's tennis team served up at 9-0 win against Olivet College on Wednesday at DeWitt Tennis Center.
The Flying Dutchmen improved to 2-0 in MIAA matches.
Hope opened the match by winning 24 of 28 points in doubles play.
At No. 1 doubles, juniors Jacob Burkett (Clarkston, Michigan / Clarkston) and Cameron Coates (Stevensville, Michigan / Laurel Springs) won 8-3 against Sam Vondra and Trevor Lewis.
At No. 2 doubles, juniors Tyler Stafford (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian) and Matt Henkel (Traverse City, Michigan / St. Francis) claimed an 8-0 victory against Benjamin Morrow and Trevor Lewis.
At No. 3 doubles, senior Tyler Koran (Salinas, California / Salinas) and sophomore John Voss (Cincinnati, Ohio / St. Xavier) earned an 8-1 win against Jake Dickinson and Kjeil Dickinson.
In singles play, the Flying Dutch netted 66 of 76 points.
At No 1 singles, Burkett defeated Gabe Hand, 6-0, 6-1.
At No. 2 singles, Coates won 6-0, 6-0 against Morrow.
At No. 3 singles, freshman Austin Becksvoort (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) recorded a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Lewis.
At No. 4 singles, sophomore Justin Fay (Naperville, Illinois / St. Francis) claimed a 6-1, 6-1 win against Colin Moore.
At No. 5 singles, Voss earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory against Kjeil Dickinson.
At No. 6, singles, freshman Brendan Evert (Sterling Heights, Michigan / Sterling Heights) won, 6-0, ret. against McKalen Jambor.
Hope (3-11 overall) returns to the court on Saturday, April 9, at 11 a.m. with a match at Alma College.
