Hope College's Elena Salazar has been chosen as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week.
The sophomore attacker claimed the honor for the first time in her career.
Salazar totaled 12 goals and seven assists during two wins last week that helped the Flying Dutch move up into a second-place tie in the MIAA standings.
On Wednesday, Salazar recorded six goals and season-highs with four assists and seven ground balls during an 18-7 win at Adrian College.
On Saturday, Salazar totaled six goals and three assists during a 17-11 win at Kalamazoo College and set a single-season Hope record with 53 goals.
