Men's Soccer Ties No. 21 Ohio Wesleyan on the Road

O'Lee Olsen scored his first career goal to help the Hope College men's soccer team earn a 1-1 draw at 21st-ranked Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday.

Olsen gave the Flying Dutchmen a 1-0 lead by striking 11 ½ minutes into the non-league game.

The junior from Alto, Michigan (Caledonia HS) capitalized on an Ohio Wesleyan turnover inside the box and buried a shot into the right side of the goal.

Ohio Wesleyan (0-1-2) drew even 2 ½ minutes into the second half on Cristian Gomez's first goal of the season.

Goalie Daniel Hesselbein (Barrington, Illinois / Barrington Community) recorded a season-high seven saves.

The draw was Hope's third in as many games this season.

The Flying Dutchmen's next game is Saturday, Sept. 10, at 5 p.m. against Hanover College (Ind.) at Ohio Wesleyan. Hanover lost to Calvin University, 2-1, on Friday at Ohio Wesleyan.
