The Hope College women's golf team finished fifth at the second MIAA Jamboree on Wednesday, shooting a team score of 346 at the Tecumseh Golf Club.
Adrian College placed first with a score of 316, St. Mary's shot a 330 to grab second place. The Flying Dutch flew in two strokes behind Calvin University.
Senior Grace VanDellen (Oxford, Michigan / Lutheran Northwest HS) led the Flying Dutch with an 85 to tie for 18th, while senior Rita Cheney (Mason, Michigan / Mason) shot an 86 for Hope, finishing in a tie for 20th.
Abby Fansler (Muskegon, Michigan / Reeths-Puffer) marked a score card of 87, Emlin Munch (Traverse City, Michigan / Central) finished with an 88, while Sarah Owens (Charlotte, Michigan / Charlotte) shot a 94.
The women of Hope College women's golf take on the third MIAA Jamboree on Saturday, September 24 as they head to Pine River Country Club in Alma, Michigan for a 1 p.m. tee off.
