Two top ten finishes for the Hope College women's golf team secured third place in the final MIAA Jamboree of the season.Â
Junior Emlin Munch(Traverse City, Michigan / Central HS) led the Flying Dutch on Thursday at The Medalist where Olivet College hosted the nine league teams in Marshall, Michigan. Munch recorded a 78 to earn a third place tie as well as help Hope keep their third place placement through four jamborees.Â
Senior Grace VanDellen (Oxford, Michigan / Lutheran Northwest) shot an 80 to also finish among the top ten among all golfers in jamboree four, finishing tied for sixth.Â
Senior Rita Cheney (Mason, Michigan / Mason) and sophomore Lauren Sass (Bloomfield Hills, Michigan / Marian) both carded an 87 for the day and finishing tied for 19th to give Hope four golfers in the top twenty of 44 total golfers in the field.Â
Freshman Caydee Constant (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven)Â fired off a 91 to complete Hope's scoring for the day.Â
The Flying Dutch now head to the MIAA Fall Finish, a two-day tournament, where they will play as hosts at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek, Michigan on Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8.
