Third-Ranked Volleyball Tops Saint Mary's

The third-ranked Hope College volleyball team served up a win and showed strength in numbers on the road at Saint Mary's College on Tuesday evening.

The 25-11, 25-21, 22-25, 25-18 win kept the Flying Dutch unbeaten in MIAA play at 4-0, and upped their wins to 16 in 17 tries this season.

Junior Liz VanderSlice (Wyoming, Michigan / Grandville) chipped in six kills and five blocks against Saint Mary's.

Sophomore Ella Contant (Elmhurst, Illinois / York Community) had six kills with a match-high seven blocks.

Sophomore Lauren Lee (Plymouth, Michigan / Skyline) totaled 29 assists.

Junior Sammie Seib (Elkhorn, Wisconsin / Catholic Central) tallied a team-high 15 digs for Hope.

The Flying Dutch served up 11 service aces, nearly matching their season-high total of 13.
