Five Selected to 2022-23 Academic All-District® Basketball Teams

Five Hope College basketball student-athletes have been chosen to The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators.

Seniors Claire Baguley, Kate Majerus, Ella McKinney, and Meg Morehouse of the MIAA co-champion Flying Dutch are honored, as is senior Evan Thomas of the Flying Dutchmen.

All five of Hope's Academic All-District® honorees advance to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® ballot.

First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid March.

The Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

The Division III College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® programs is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions III Academic All-America® program.
