Robbie Stuursma Named to ABCA All-Region Defensive Teams

Hope College center fielder Robbie Stuursma has been chosen to the American Baseball Coaches Association NCAA Division III Region All-Defensive Teams.

The business major from East Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS) is one of nine overall selections and three outfield honorees in Region 7.
 
Ten all-region teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.

During his junior season, Stuursma recorded a .991 fielding percentage in centerfield by totaling 104 putouts and one assist in 106 chances. He committed only one error.

Stuursma also batted .314 with three home runs and 31 RBIs while hitting third in Hope's lineup.

Stuursma also stole a team-leading 17 bases in 21 attempts.

MIAA coaches made Stuursma an All-MIAA First Team selection for the 2023 season.
