Women's Swim Makes Day 3 Finals in One Event at NCAA Championships

Hope College junior Lauren Ryle leads Hope College's Day 3 finals women's qualifiers at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.

Ryle (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Catholic Central HS) will compete in the consolation final in the 100-yard breaststroke tonight in Greensboro, N.C.

This morning, Ryle finished 11th during prelims by clocking a time of 1 minute, 3.09 seconds.

Hope also had two swimmers race the 100 backstroke prelims.

Junior Sara Kraus (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford) finished 17th with a time of 56.62 and is the first alternate for tonight's finals.

Katie Hermann (Canton, Michigan / Mercy) took 35th with a time of 58.17.

The finals start at 6 p.m. and can be viewed on ncaa.com.
