Hope College Maintains Overall Lead in MIAA Commissioner's Cup Chase after Winter Season

Hope College remains in first place in the 2023-24 MIAA Commissioner's Cup race after totaling 98.5 points through the fall and winter seasons.

Hope leads second-place Calvin University by 10 points in the winter update.

The winter update is an unofficial look at the MIAA Commissioner's Cup standings.  The award is based on the cumulative performance of each member school in the league's 23 sports: 11 in women's sports and 12 in men's sports.

Each school counts its top eight finishes by gender.  The winter update includes each team's MIAA finish in eight men's (four fall, four winter) and seven women's sports (four fall, three winter).

This winter, Hope earned MIAA championships in women's swimming and diving, women's indoor track and field, and women's basketball. Hope was the runner-up in both men's swimming and diving and men's indoor track and field while finishing third in men's basketball.

Trine University is third with 76.5 points and leads fourth-place Albion College by two points.

Alma College sits in fifth place with 58.5 points and followed by Adrian College (49.5 points), The University of Olivet (47) and Kalamazoo College (46.5). Saint Mary's College is ninth with 11.5 points.
